We believe at the Mulberry Bush Nursery the quality of childcare provided for each individual child is of paramount importance.
Children’s early years are the most important years of their lives.
We strive to provide a rich childhood with high quality childcare and education for all, delivered by fully qualified nursery practitioners who are supportive and sensitive to the individual needs of each child and their families.
We accomplish this within a happy, homely, safe, warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where the children can grow in confidence and independence but where they also feel physically and emotionally safe and protected.
We recognise that every child has potential and their individuality, efforts and achievements will continually be celebrated throughout their journey with us.
Children are encouraged to follow their interests and with the guidance of the EYFS we support each child to develop through play and find the confidence to reach their full potential no matter what their background. Throughout the environment we equip the children with skills, interests, passion and independence enabling them to expand their knowledge of the world around them and enjoy opportunities to discover a range of experiences and learn to explore and flourish.
Working in partnership with parents/carers is vital for effective learning and development for the child. We build strong, trusting relationships with the child and their family using the key persons approach. The key person will aid the child’s learning and development through helping to ‘stretch’ the child but not push them beyond their capabilities ensuring they feel special, safe & cherished.
Keeping children fit and healthy is also an essential part of the care provided for the children within the nursery. The children have access to 3 large outdoor areas where they participate in a variety of exercise along with indoor exercise activities such as dancing and yoga. We serve the children healthy home cooked meals and snacks that are carefully balanced and prepared on the premises and teach the children daily about healthy lifestyles and choices.
We believe passionately that each individual child, with differing needs and interests, should be loved and supported as they grow. We know that children will thrive best in their learning if they feel emotionally secure, so we work very hard to promote warm, stable friendships with staff and other children and offer plenty of creative opportunities to learn through play.
