What is a key person?
Your child will be assigned a key person when they begin nursery with us.
We believe that children settle best when they have a key person to relate to, who knows them and their parents well and who can meet their individual needs. Key persons provide secure relationships in which children thrive, parents have confidence, staff are committed, and the setting is a happy and dedicated place to attend or work in.
Your child’s key person will be the one completing their learning journey and assessing your child’s development.
Your child’s key person will ensure that transitions between rooms go as smoothly as possible. They will have a meeting with your child’s new key person when they go up rooms, to ensure that they know of where they are in their development, their interests and needs.
